Harvest Hues

As the days begin to cool here in Alabama, I find myself drawn to the comforting tones of the season: the changing leaves, the piles of chopped wood, and the deep blue that hints at the first chill in the air. These colors came together effortlessly in this simple lap quilt, stitched using Misty Shores by Hoffman Fabrics.

It combines browns, creams, and deep blues, with touches of rust that add depth and a sense of age. Measuring 45″ x 45″, it’s the perfect size for crisp evenings on the porch when there’s a hint of chill in the air.

Sometimes, the best projects are the ones that come together naturally, inspired by the world just outside our doors.

What simple inspirations might you turn into your next quilt?
